Bob Hofmann
Stuck with the thought of creating some sort of fire toy for Burning Man 2001, Bob Hofmann set to work designing and building his first burning art pieces. The result was a bike with the ability to blast huge balls of fire 30' into the sky. Next came a 9" long and 45 lb. torch mounted to a golf cart. These initial discoveries in torches developed into his own lightweight recreational flamethrower called the "Bonefire" which Bob has harnessed into an experience called Pyrocussion®. It primarily consists of multiple vertical flame cannons, played with traditional drumsticks. With it's fiery explosions, rhythmical heat and light, Pyrocussion® has already captivated thousands like a moth to the flame. |
